The Church of San Francisco de Asis in Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico is one of the most remarkable structures in the world. Over the years countless artists and photographers have captured the beauty of its graceful curves and its pink adobe surface. Legend has it that Ansel Adams decided to become a full-time photographer (he was also considering a career as a concert pianist) after he saw Paul Strand's negatives of the church.

I have made many visits to the site and I never tire of it because the changing light at various times of the year always presents something new. I hope that you enjoy this sample of images of one of my favorite subjects.
